In order to maintain our high standards and personal, friendly service, we have outlined our Terms of Service. Before placing an order with us, please read this page carefully as all orders are covered by the information outlined below.
We are here to help and if you have any questions, please contact us and we will be very happy to assist you.
Online Estimates and Quotations
Home/ Site delivery is included in our quotations and estimates.
Our made to measure sliding wardrobe doors, shelving and some other components are delivered directly to our customers, in advance of installation.
Our prepared wardrobe framework and end panels are stored in our workshop and brought with us on the 1st day of installation.
We aim to deliver within 21 days and will be in contact with you within the first week to inform you of the available delivery date. Deliveries are made Monday-Friday. Our Home Delivery Service (HDS) will often be in contact with you initially by text message, so please ensure you provide a mobile number where possible when placing your order.
Wherever possible, we conduct a two-man delivery, putting the items in a room of your choosing. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the access to the room is suitable for the items ordered.
We ask all our customers to inspect their delivery carefully on arrival as we are unable to accept claims for breakages, scratches or damage more than 72 hours after delivery. The driver will be happy to wait while you check your items and you must sign to say they are satisfactory and fit for purpose.
If you intend to use subcontractors for installation we strongly recommend you do not commit to them until the complete delivery has been made. This will avoid any costs associated with unavoidable delays. Sussex Wardrobes are not liable for financial loss caused by unforeseen delays in delivery.
If you have any other questions regarding delivery then please feel free to get in touch by contacting us via our website, www.sussexwardrobes.co.uk
Table of ContentsReturns and cancellations are not accepted on made-to-measure doors after production has begun as the product/s will have been manufactured to your specific dimensions.
Table of ContentsWhile Sussex Wardrobes take great care and make every reasonable effort to avoid any damages to walls and surrounding areas from the access point to the installation area, Sussex Wardrobes will not be responsible for any decorating or maintenance required to conceal any damages.
All installations require the use of your mains electricity supply, from a standard 13A 240V socket, free of charge.
We require you to:
Let us know where suitable toilet facilities are, and where we can access a sink or tap during the installation.
Provide reasonable access to the room where the goods are to be fitted (ladder access is not acceptable).
Clear the room, and along our route into the room, where the installation is to take place of any breakable or valuable items that may be at risk of damage.
Table of ContentsThe dimensions of your wardrobe will be discussed with you during the planning stage. Once agreed, this will be the information our quote is based on.
Wardrobe Depth: The wardrobe depth will also be agreed at this point. If you are unsure of how deep your wardrobe
should be, you can view more information on this here.
We will not install a wardrobe less than 600mm deep (overall depth) for regular side by side clothes hanging. 600mm is an absolute minimum and if more space is available,
we highly recommend using it. Once your order has been placed, we cannot guarantee that any changes can be made.
If required lengths are greater than our supplier’s available lengths, we reserve the right to make a joint to achieve the required length.
All of our wardrobe exterior frames are constructed from a combination of timbers and solid panels - these are hand painted in our workshop and/ or on site, during installation.
We hand select our timber, however, some Knots and imperfections may occur. Due to timber being a natural product, some defects/ shrinkage/ expansion may also occur.
All of our online installation quotations and estimates are based on the information provided. To confirm a fixed quotation, a home visit is required. The follow-up home visit is free of charge and holds no obligation.
Table of ContentsBy advanced request, our wardrobe frames and other timber/ MDF components can be finished with a custom paint mix finish. There is usually an additional charge for this service and while every effort is made to provide a colour of your choice, an exact match cannot be guaranteed.
Table of ContentsOur quotations and estimates include our suppliers VAT on all goods and shipping. We do not charge VAT for our fitting services. Sussex Wardrobes are not VAT registered.
Table of ContentsUnless specified separately, disposal of off-cuts and packaging from new products is not included. For an average wardrobe installation, the waste materials and packaging are fairly minimal. If required, we are able to organise disposal by a local commercial waste collection company and this can be quoted for separately, if required.
Table of ContentsQuotations are valid for 14 days, unless there is an unforeseen increase in our suppliers costs to us.
Unless otherwise agreed (in advance), our Payment terms are as follows:
